Animal Assisted Therapy

I work alongside my Therapy Dog, Pirate.

(note: this is dependant on suitability factors such as age, presentation, needs). 

The inclusion of animals in therapy has been evidenced to support engagement and progress in therapy and can have positive benefits for children with:

Complex trauma 

Social difficulties 

Behaviour difficulties

Emotional difficulties 

Limited or non verbal

 

Animal Assisted Therapy is also extremely suited to adolescents who are difficult to engage, have challenges trusting adults or who have not had success in other forms of therapy.
